Dog bites become infected easily and therefor is a good idea to take her to a vet to get her checked out. If the doctor feels its necessary he might give her a sedative and clean out her wound(s) and suture it back together. It is a necessary for larger wounds to be sutured together because if they heal with dirt or debris in them they will become infected. The doctor will most likely put her on antibiotics such as Clavamox or Amoxil to kill any bacteria and prevent infection.

My dogs were attacked tonight as well, but my boy got a puncture on his leg, and my girl has one on her neck, do NOT put neosporin on it as it can be poisoness to dogs. Clean it out if she will let you, use iodine if you have it, otherwise an antibacterial soap will work, do not wrap the would in less it is bleeding really bad, in which case you should consider going to an emergency vet immediately. If you can not afford a vet, and the puncture does not look like it needs to be sewn up, than you should buy some Fish-mox or fish-forte (it’s amoxicillin to help reduce the chance of infection) you can buy it without a prescription at a stock shop or fish store. It’s the same drug but with a different name. It’s the same as people take too. Good luck and tell ou parents to look into pet insurance from gopetplan.com that’s who I use with my three dogs and their great. Good luck!

its very serious and your dog could lose her eye, or worse yet, the bit could have punctured her skull and damaged her brain. The best thing you can do for her is to get her to the vet asap! On the car ride there, use a damp warm towel to hold on her head and eye to help ease the pain she must be in. Please beg your parents to take her to the vet!

Wow! That is really horrible, poor dog, and poor you o_0
I would use betadine on cotton or hydrogine peroxide to clean the wound so that it doesn’t infect. A scareed or hurt dog can bite, so I suggest you muzzled her. If you don’t have a muzzle, use a bandageclothetc. to muzzle her so she doesn’t bite you. Watch out because she might have rabies if she was attacked by other dog! Be fast because time is your biggest enemy. Put your dog on a confortable place and avoid crowding her. If you saw the dogperson (what was she attacked by?) you should call the cops and report them the story. A dog who attacks other animals doesn’t diserve to be off-leash!
Good luck, brother, my heart goes with you and your dog <3

If it’s a pretty good size chunk you need to head to an emergency vet asap! If you can’t until then, try to clean the wound with peroxide, some neosporin and put a gauze bandage where it’s at. And if you have a way to get ahold of any cephalexin (keflex) it’s an antibiotic give her one.

I use neosporin with pain reliver depending on how severe the wound is.
